one plus one

I've been a little absent, but. I have been working, and while there is still so much to do, I'm excited by the progress so far. I thought I'd share a little peek.

Quilt tops. Mostly those lovely navy Japanese cottons, with a hint of mint and a linen/cotton blend that I can't get enough of. I recently bought (another) five yards and already I know it is just not enough. It is too good. I have a beautiful set of pictures to show you later that will prove it. You'll see.

My sashiko needle is impatiently waiting for my Moda crossweave to come in for the backing. You remember my blue backing red thread combo - I loved it so much I could not possibly do it only once.

Also - I changed the blog! Just a few subtle changes, but I like it much better.  What do you think?

*These were greatly inspired by the absolutely breathtaking work of Susan over at Avalanche Looms. If you haven't seen her blog yet, go, go now, you won't regret it.
